BCC is a regional organization that unites the coffee communities of Baltimore and Maryland
We create pop-up environments and share resources to
support and engage coffee lovers at work and beyond
We lead dynamic collaborations with the area's unique
coffee producers, baristas, importers, enthusiasts, and more

We co-host with different cafes around Baltimore on most* 1st Fridays
* closed in Jan/Feb - may also skip July or September due to holidays

What are "throwdowns?"
Latte art throwdowns are single-elimination bracket tournaments (like March Madness)
Baristas across the world compete for prizes, opportunities, and clout
Pours are judged on design, symmetry, contrast, complexity, control, and more
Our BCC throwdowns are usually 10-20 baristas.
Bmore, DMV, and more.
Always #firstfriday.
1-hr open practice for all 6-7pm.
Buy-ins donated to nonprofits and local organizations.

Applied Sessions
These events are hands on learning opportunities for baristas who are looking to expand their skills, and consumers with a particular interest in the industry. These events are meant to help hone your craft in a safe and welcoming environment.
